Drugstore Back To School/College/University Make-Up
12:00The start of September will always remind me of going back to school, no matter how old I get. I loved being organised and ready well beforehand so that I could enjoy my last few weeks of Summer holidays without having to worry about forgetting something. Although I hated getting my school uniform because nothing fit me properly, my favourite part of doing the back to school shop was for stationary and new make-up items.
So, I thought I would share what make-up bits and pieces I would put in my make-up bag if I was going back to school, college or university.
First of all, if it was me, I'd like to use as few products as possible, not only to keep my make-up bag light, but because my make-up bag was stolen once whenever I was at school and contained some of my most beloved make-up items. Which brings me onto my second point, I'd gravitate towards drugstore products, not only because they're cheaper, but they're a lot easier to replace and have back-ups of. My third and final requirement from this make-up look is that it must be quick to do, yet stay in place all day, because who doesn't treasure those extra minutes in bed?
Face
To help keep my make-up in place all day, I would use the L'Oreal Infallible Matte Primer as it keeps me shine free all day and doesn't let my make-up slip around my face. For concealer, I would use the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer - Light because it has both a concealer for under eyes and face, which saves me from taking two separate concealers. It also has a powder which is good for little touch-ups if you don't want to take a separate powder either. For foundation, I would use the L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation - Porcelain as it's a medium to high coverage, but it takes no time at all to blend out and looks flawless. For cheeks, I would use the Revlon Highlighting Palette - Rose Glow as a blush as the different tones in the palette gives the appearance of a blush and highlight without two separate products. To keep everything locked in place, I would finish off with a dusting of the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Translucent as it does the best job of keeping things matte where they need to be.
Eyes & Lips
For my eyes, I would use one of my ultimate '2 birds, 1 stone' products, an eye crayon, such as the Bourjois ColorBand 2-In-1 Eyeshadow/Eyeliner - Beige Minimaliste as it's such a simple shade, it can be used as both eyeliner and eyeshadow, which would mean not having to carry around a palette. For mascara, I would use my favourite one at the minute, which is the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara - Black as it gives unbelievable length and separation to my lashes.
For eyebrows, I would use my tried and trusted Soap & Glory Archery 2-In-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush - Blondeshell because lets be honest, it's the only thing I ever use of my brows and the best in the drugstore.
To finish everything off, I'd opt for a very nude/natural lipstick, which wasn't drying on the lips, something like the Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Nude Lipstick - 45 would be perfect.
Have you tried any of these products? What way would you do your make-up if you were going back to school/college/university? Let me know in the comments!
